GENESIS, HISTORY and PROGRESSION of the PROJECT

• Conception of the idea of the School of Democracy as a logical next step from the concept of democratic engineering which was invented in 2002 by Troy Davis: 2003.
• Informal presentation of the idea to various national and international organisations.
• Setting-up of the International Honorary Council in Summer 2003.
• Setting-up of the Association Support for a School of Democracy in Strasbourg : 30th April 2004
• Various legal procedures: Summer 2004 (see Legal Information)
• Proposal for inclusion in the European Union budget

  • Title: Developed and consolidation of democracy and law-abiding States - respect for human rights and fundamental liberties
  • Global budget: ca. 100 Million Euros (for all projects )
